DRAP-ART 2022
Drap-Art’22 Al Gòtic! was held once again in emblematic spaces of the Gothic neighborhood such as the Borsí and Villa del Arte Galleries, plaza Real, plaza del Rey, plaza de la Mercè, calle Carabassa, de la Palla and Groc, from November 17 to December 21, 2022. Given the increasingly urgent need to provoke a change towards a more environmentally, economically and socially sustainable world, Drap-Art once again upheld art as a tool for social transformation and invited contemporary and urban artists, designers, artisans, indefinable and multifaceted creators, artivists, amateurs and creative people of all kinds, to say their own, presenting their projects to our open call for artists.
In the 2022 edition of Drap-Art we had the pleasure of being able to present a selection of significant works by the renowned Catalan artist Modest Cuixart in the In Memoriam section, to have 10 invited artists in the curated exhibition, 19 artists, both emerging as well as consolidated and amateurs, in the exhibition of artists selected by the open call, 8 artists in the Drap-Art Islands exhibition and the artist of the month Orson Buch in the Drap-Art Gallery, in addition to almost 100 young artists from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Barcelona , the 20 creators of the Drao-Art Market and the performers, workshop artists, musicians, and indefinable creators who carried out interventions and actions both in public space (Drap-Art Outdoors) and in interior spaces (Drap-Art Indoors).
