2024 is coming to an end and we are closing a fabulous year full of activities at Drap-Art.

We are very proud to announce that our president, Tanja Grass, has been selected as a new ambassador of the Third Paradise, a project focused on social change towards a more sustainable world through art, created by the pioneer of environmental art, Michelangelo Pistoletto, and promoted by Cittadellarte – Pistoletto Foundation.

From 21 November to 21 December we held the 28^th edition of the Drap-Art International Festival of Sustainable Art of Catalonia.

The finishing touch was the closing party in the Plaza de la Mercè in Barcelona, with the celebration of the Rebirth Day of the Third Paradise, with a big parade, performances, concerts and a demonstration for world peace, human empowerment and nature.

Recycling Art Market of Sustainable Consumption

We are also very happy to have finished the season of the Recycling Art Market of Sustainable Consumption, which ran from the first Saturday of March until the last Saturday of December, and has presented the work of original recycling artists and artisans, generating a weekly sustainable consumption circuit.

A classic weekend market of artistic recycling in Barcelona’s Plaza Real, visited by countless upcycling enthusiasts from all corners of the planet.

We remind you that during the months of January and February the Market and its artists take a break to work on their new proposals for the ‘25 season.

Exhibitions

During this year that is now coming to an end, we have also held exhibitions at Casa Seat in Barcelona, at the Arenas shopping mall in Barcelona and co-produced the Balearic art fair Tardor d’Art in Formentera, all of them successful exhibitions and activities with very good results, great audience and better expectations for the new year that is about to begin.

Drap-Art ‘25 General Assembly of members

In the month of January we will hold the General Assembly of Members.

The meeting is open to all those who are part of the Drap-Art family (or are interested in becoming part of it). We welcome all those who are enthusiastic about artistic recycling, the culture of recovery, the art of upcycling and sustainable consumption.

We are calling the General Assembly of Drap-Art members for the 14th of January 2025 at 19h. The place where the meeting will take place will be announced a few days before the date, according to the confirmations of attendance that we will receive. If you wish, please confirm your attendance by sending an email to info@drap-art.org with the subject ‘I’m going to the general assembly’.

Drap Art Gallery – Opening times this week

We are taking a short break after the festival odyssey and closing the gallery doors on the 30th and 31st of December and the 2nd of January.

We reopen on Friday the 3rd and all day Saturday the 3rd. Both days with discounts of up to 20% on all pieces in our gallery.

What’s coming in 2025

Open Call for Drap-Art Market

Very soon we will launch the open call to participate as an exhibitor in the Artistic Recycling and Sustainable Consumption Market during the 2025 season.

Please prepare your dossier to show us your art recycling work: remember to submit high resolution photos, a vision and mission of your project, a brief biography and your best intentions and desires to be part of the Saturday market at Plaza Real.

Artist of the Month

We are starting a new season of Artist of the Month at Drap-Art Gallery (carrer d’en Groc 1). This year 2025, from March to October, we will once again have a guest artist per month in our gallery in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona.
