Textile Basketry Workshop at the Gòtic Festival 2025 Activities

As part of the activities we’ve prepared for the Gòtic Festival 2025, we’re offering a textile basketry workshop — a creative opportunity to learn how to transform unused clothing into practical and decorative objects such as baskets, rugs, or other personal creations.

The workshop is aimed at people with basic sewing skills or simply a strong desire to learn hand stitching. Participants are welcome to bring an old piece of clothing to incorporate into their project. Left-handed participants or anyone who prefers may also bring their own scissors for added comfort.

The workshop will take place on Sunday, May 11, at Espai Borsí per al Barri, and will run for a total of 4 hours, split into two sessions: from 12 to 2 p.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m., with a break in between. The cost is €30, covering materials.

The session will be led by Marcela Palm, a cultural agent with extensive experience in organising sociocultural workshops and events with a strong focus on sustainability and resource reuse.

To participate, please register in advance by sending an email to: info@drap-art.org

You can find more information about the workshop at: www.ewe-upcycling.info or on Instagram: @atelier.ewe

Organized by Drap-Art and Borsí per al Barri.
