“Drap-Art Illes” at Cuixart Foundation
From March 4 to 27, the Cuixart Foundation in Palafrugell will host “Drap-Art Illes”, an exhibition bringing together a selection of artists from the Balearic Islands and featuring the special participation of Jeff Midghall, an English artist residing in Palafrugell. This exhibition was part of the Drap-Art’24 Festival and now arrives in Palafrugell to continue promoting the dialogue between art and sustainability.
Inspired by the documentary “Designing Tomorrow” and the 2030 Agenda, “Drap-Art Illes” aims to spark collective reflection on creativity, material reuse, and the construction of a more sustainable future. Throughout the month, local schoolchildren will visit the exhibition as part of an environmental and artistic awareness program.
The exhibition features the participation of the following artists from the Balearic Islands:
- Creatives for the Planet
- Sol Couregges Boné
- Dani Fulla
- Ezequiel Herrera
- Emeric Jacob
- Maria Teresa Matilla
- Enric Servera
- Jorge Traverso
Additionally, the exhibition will include Jeff Midghall as a guest artist. Born in Liverpool and trained in sculpture and painting, Midghall has exhibited in prestigious venues such as the National Portrait Gallery in London and the Scottish National Portrait Gallery in Edinburgh.
The exhibition will be open until March 27 at the Cuixart Foundation, located at Carrer Miquel Vincke i Meyer, 12, 17200 Palafrugell.
