Exciting news at the Drap-Art Market & Gallery!
The month of March arrives and the new season begins at Drap-Art: on Saturday, March 2, the Market begins
from Plaça Reial and on the 6th we present our first Artist of the Month 2024: Joaquim Riera àlies Recuperart.
This year the Drap-Art Market season for artistic recycling and sustainable consumption, has 24 stands and the following exhibitors: AC Recycled Collections, Zebraba, Forquillart, I/A Jewel, TAMdrum, Lanau, Diogen Syndrome, Bicho Robot, GdS Collage, Canilo, Pikulinas Productions, rabal.925, Ellipsis Notes, Vitrofusion BCN, Natt Glass & Design, Palola, Bob Art Factory, Lai Díez Photography, Musa Mundi, Balansí, Yosoyo, Kandela, El rrbol design, Almau Barcelona, Zueva Art, and punctually with Wanellen, Adrilana, Maral Jewels, Alef and La Creacion, Kukos, Oritakebcn, Raices Imaginarias, God was a Woman, Marcelo Iannuzzi, Los Bubus, and Creta Libretas. Then, on March 6th we present one of the new partners: Joaquim Riera. This veteran graphic designer, in 2012 discovered the technique of recovering discarded materials and turning them into works of art. That is why he defines the whole of his work with the name of “RECUPERART”, the art of making art through the recovery of materials. In 2023 Joaquim joined and participated in the exhibition of artists selected by the open call of the Drap-Art’23 Festival.
The works of the last two Artists of the Month 2023, Jana ·lvarez and Karol Bergeret will still be available in our online store and exhibited in two new collaborating spaces: the works of Jana at the Kynoto Sushi Bar on Calle Correo Well 8 and the works of Karol Bergeret at the Vermutería Puigmartí, which is celebrating: Its special rosé vermouth, developed by its inventor, Agus, and which we have had the privilege of tasting during its testing period at the openings of Drap-Art’23, is already bottled and for sale! Walk along Carrer Puigmartí 12, on March 4, to have a taste with us and admire the works of Karol. We will be there from 7pm.
