Tardor d’Art 2024
Welcome to our annual Autumn Art gathering. This initiative was born in 2022, led by the Formentera Artists Association (AdAF), with the support of the Consell Insular de Formentera, Fundació Balearia, Hotel Roca Plana, Ràdio Illa, Trampolí Mecànic, Sa Casa, Sa Panxa, the Santa Maria Festivities Committee, and the Obra Cultural Balear de Formentera.
Our goal is to establish a platform where resident and regular visiting artists on the island can showcase their talent without having to comply with commercial criteria, while also enabling them to do just that: sell the works that their expressive needs drive them to create, free from market-driven restrictions. We aim to offer artists the chance to bring out the best in themselves and to develop more personal, reflective, and experimental work. To do so, we appeal to the support of Balearic institutions, the patronage of organizations and individuals connected to the art world of the islands, and their collectors—because the most daring art needs this kind of support in order to consolidate and generate social impact.
The islands, which have always been a refuge for intellectuals and artists, now more than ever—facing the challenges of tourist saturation and climate change—need their critical mass to open the debate on the social changes required to face today’s crises. And artists must be part of this!
We hope to find here the ideal space to showcase or contemplate what moves and concerns us, and to foster artistic, cultural, and human exchanges—whether with great masters or people who focus on the small things in life. In this exuberant universe, everyone can contribute.
