Performances

Karla Kracht (Ghost in the Wall)

Kracht creates futuristic retro techno sculptures, where the limits between the drawing’s stroke and its digital reflection are completely fused. In combination with live recording, drawings, video and projections of shadows, light and animation, he creates bizarre universes full of strange creatures, miniature cities, inhabited by mythological cyborg goddesses that tell science fiction stories about current social and political problems.

Maria Paz Marciano & Marc Vilajuana (Things to say).

Marciano and Vilajuana are young and committed artists, focused on making and proposing a change in the established order, from the proximity and from the scenic multidisciplinarity. They propose a conversation, through art with the public, giving value to the ability we have to empower ourselves in the situations that surround us and the treatment we have with nature today from the consumer society.

Nathalie Rey directs D’indivual al col·lectiu (with Xavi BufaSons, David Galindo and Bàrbara Scuderi)

This intervention of public space is the final action of the project From individual to collective. It is an interdisciplinary artistic action (artistic intervention, performance, music and poetry), with which we end the project, which consisted of cleaning natural environments with artistic actions, which were carried out in October, in El Prat de Llobregat, Badalona and Sitges, with the artists Nathalie Rey (artistic intervention), David Galindo (artistic installation), Xavi Lozano BufaSons (music) and Bàrbara Scuderi (poetry).

Ominira

Ominira was born in Barcelona from the hands of two environmentalists and a sound engineer. He was a winning group and finalist in several competitions such as Festival Brot (2017) or Bala Perduda (2019). His debut album was published in 2018 and was cataloged among the 10 best albums in Catalonia by the Mondosonoro. He has performed more than a hundred performances (including Primavera Sound) and currently enjoys a residence at Fabra i Coats, where he develops his second work. Extinction presents here, which is proposed as a compilation of several EPs set in different natural ecosystems with the intention of representing the gravity of the loss of biodiversity. Each song will bear the name of an endangered species that will be chosen according to the criteria of the IUCN Red List. The extinction of the species will imply the disappearance of the song forever.

Miss “Y” + LLapispanch

Miss ‘Y’ comes from the world of manipulations of sounds, images and words. She searches for, captures and creates sound ethnographs extracted from everyday life, she usually moves through the field of collages, devices and installations, integrating performative action. His creations take us into a certain narrative unrealism with activist and poetic airs. LLapispanc: its referential framework is the art of action of artistic protest, with a dynamic towards the “derived”, material and aesthetic poverty, primitive and meaningless.

Gecko with Boots (To Fish!)

The family theater company, El Gecko con Botas, specialized in shadow theater, begins to develop in Indonesia, where its founders study the technique of native traditional shadow puppets. Since 2016 they have been working in Barcelona, where they are selected for the Residencia de creación escènica del Poble Espanyol where they premiere “Les ombres que conten contes” and later at the Can Felipa Civic Center, where they will create the work “A Pescar!”. Since then they have continued to create in parallel to participation in different projects of community interventions, and have developed their own workshops. During their stay in Indonesia they realized that the waters of the planet are only one and the waste of a corner of the world is a problem for all humanity. Thus, already located in Barcelona, they created shadow plays and workshops on the subject of garbage and the sea, giving a
New life in waste from light.

The Quebrà (PLAS!TIC)

Irene García Martínez is a dancer and choreographer, graduated in classical dance at the Conservatory of Murcia. He studied journalism at the Complutense University of Madrid (2005-2008) and concluded the Higher Degree in Choreography between the CSD María de vilavila and the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona (2015-2019). Since 2006 he has worked and collaborated on several projects as a freelance artist, among others: Cienfuegos dance (Valencia), Staatstheater Nuremberg (Germany), Montón de Paja y Trigo (Barcelona). In 2016 he created and directed the company La Quebr., after receiving the first prize at the CC de Sabadell. In 2018 she is finalist of the Dance Award of the Institut del Teatre. Here she presents a show, in which dance and circus explore the problems of plastic through
from a fabulous marine installation. What happens when we realize that our innocent fun has irremediable consequences?

MimaTeatre (Plash Tik Boom)

Mima Teatre are three professional actresses who have made several family shows, all of them of creation and own production. They have performed at the Fundació Miró, the Aquitània Teatre, the Sala Versus Glòries and the Sala Cincómonos among others. They make shows with a lot of humor and music with which they intend to start smiles at the little ones, but also to the older companions and transmit values that create debate beyond the play. In this way, they reflect in a playful way on issues they consider important such as climate change, new technologies or feminism. The show they present at Drap-Art deals with Climate Change.

Pupila Productions (Teatro Lambe Lambe)

La Pupila Produccions presents two shows by Teatre LambeLambe, which is a discipline of miniature theatre, in which small stage boxes are transformed into stages of animated forms and where short stories are represented intimately for a single spectator. This observes the works through a mirror located on one of the walls of the box and the actor animates the elements and props of the story through structures and compartments from the other side. In Drap-Art La Pupila Produccions presents two shows: Myrmekodia by Ona Muchin i Trans; resurrection, life and dream of the Arusak / Alejandre Llanes Workshop.
